Humanization doesn’t seem a great description of where we’re at?

Fair points, but just want to jump in re life expectancy. The jump in life expectancy across the globe was due to a reduction in infant mortality rates and hence an increase in average life span at a population level, not so much dramatic extensions in old age on an individual level.
So stands to reasons it has hovered. There were old people back in the day, but there was also a lot more babies dyeing from now preventable illnesses. Hence the low LE

It’s new to me to actually - based on sustainability etc

  • I thought we were still in 4.0

The key point is the decrease in time span - since automation came on board. Now we have AI, big data, the gap between developments - whatever the next may be, is shortening

If you brought an Essendon supporter into today from the '80s they would go “How did they let the club go to ■■■■? We were champions then - send me back!”

Grandmother on dads side had 13 children from around 1890 to 1923. 4 died during or soon after birth. Way it was back then. Have as many kids as you can and hope that some survive. Amazingly all 9 that survived made it past 80.

I saw this walking around today. Seemed like these are delivery vehicles and were tucked in for the night charging.

Cool. Where was that?

Somewhere in Akihabara, Tokyo.

Mine can annoy. Two-lane carriageway…double lines. You’re reversing from an angle parking spot. Another car coming in the other direction, and it brakes the car to a full stop. Not the slightest danger of hitting the oncoming car. I wouldn’t mind the warning, but don’t stop the car.

You of all people to miss my stupid grammar joke.

I was arrogant enough not to read the post you were replying to…but the feature as described does annoy me anyway.

You should see the station in SF where the driverless Waymos take themselves to sleep and recharge.

I am sure there would be some who would like their horns blown all hours.

My wife used a Charge Fox charger the other day. It was the first time she has used a charger outside of home. Somehow, she managed to unlock both chargers on the same site and was charged for her charge and the next car to use the charger she somehow unlocked.
Wrote to the company and they just said too bad.
Great service.

I could see how this could happpen. They’re a bit confusing with knowing which charger is which.

I’m off for a long drive on Boxing Day. Range anxiety inducing. I’ll try a few chargers in the way, but expecting they’ll be overwhelmed by people who haven’t planned their trip. They still have to figure out how to have cars be able to line up for the chargers, rather than tuck them away in the back corner of the parking lot.

I have used Chargefox and not sure how you can make such a mistake and use two chargers at the same time. My Chargefox App does not seem to allow this, as it lets you select the charging port and charging starts. You can see all the charging data and cancel out but at least on my App you cannot charge another car.

Yeah - pretty ■■■■■■ off that after back and forward messages. They asked for evidence from us to show that she wasn’t at the 2nd station whilst it was charging and so we sent them an east link toll statement that showed she was on east link whilst the other car was still charging - but then they just said too bad. Won’t be using them again.

I can’t understand either. I’ve had zero problems with Chargefox. or with Evie, AMPCharge or BPPulse.

RACV Club uses Chargefox so I’d be buggered there if I dropped them.

If you set one going, I don’t see how it could let you start another oone.
