Yeah if it wasn’t for them we’d have won for sure

At least WB will stop chasing Walla now.

Except that’s like yelling at a Marvel employee because we played a ■■■■ game of footy

maybe if they opened the roof it’d justify how ■■■■ our skills were.

That’d be stupid. What have they got to do with the game? Scorpio was making the point that we, the supporters, are their (the players) customers. He made that pretty clear.

You mention at para. 9 that Mynott, Houlahan and Ridley are list cloggers then ask why these young, fit are not being selected. What are you trying to say?

I know it’s stupid. As is your yelling at a checkout chick. That’s my point.

If we want to keep the metaphors going, you should be yelling at the fruit and veg manager (the club/players) who keep putting out dodgy bananas (the games of footy) for people (us) to buy.

So how predictable was that?

Says Mr. Hindsight.

Many others foresaw it.

SOS.

The banana analogy is great because you have a choice of bananas, and chose a ■■■■ one.

Can either take it back and get a new one or suck it up and make banana bread.

WOB is gonna have fun next week

Cornes makes a lot of out there statements but think it’s he’s pretty spot on here

Just woke up after drowning my sorrows. How did we go last night. Did we win. Can’t remember much.

The checkout chick (players) is still part of the company (club) and may not have had anything to do with the dodgy piece of fruit (result) and as you quite rightly point out the blame could be laid on the fruit and veg manager (coaching, recruitment, conditioning etc) so why yell at her? There are so many factors at play. That’s my point.

Thing is it is absolutely ringing true.

The pressure has clearly been ramped up on him to get us into finals, with the busted are rag tag group of whoever’s left standing. Clearly not in the best interests of the list or the club
But “we are essendon!” We need our 8th place, and our elim final smashings, it’s our birthright.

He’s absolutely, 100% right.

Impatience is part of the problem, not the solution.

Sidenote - Why do we keep kicking it to Mitch Brown in contested situations. He literally never wins those.

Valium is your Friend.

You don’t reckon the players had anything to do with the result last night?

Patience ran out 10 years ago.

Then you watch a club like Brisbane, who should have been kicked out of the league 2 years ago… sit inside the top 4.

Then you watch other clubs, play Prelims/grand finals, rebuild in the space of 2-3 years, and then bounce up above us. And we are still sitting mid table.

All while the club is asking the supporters for patience. At some stage we must demand success.

I’m with HAP on this one. As supporters I’d say we’ve been long-suffering, but not necessarily patient. As a club we’ve never been patient, partially in response to supporters. As an Essendon coach you get one year of being ■■■■ as everyone acknowledges a reset is required, then every year without making finals is a failure.

Three years of ■■■■ and a coaching change resets the timer. You have to start being patient again.
