Made super tough work of it. Going down to 10 and conceding that very late goal. By letting in 3 we doubled the number of goals we had let in for the season at Anfield.

Rodgers era style win there by us. Much prefer when we are tight at the back. Saha was giving Milner a lot of trouble down that side. Hoping Trent isn’t out much longer. Pretty sure the lads are off to Dubai for a warm weather training camp.

What Arsenal produced today is what Emery is wanting from his team. The work rate and pressing of the front men was immense, tenacity in midfield from Torreira and Ramsay. Lacazette’s goal was a beauty, his first touch made it possible and the finish was cheeky and clever. Arsenal actually defended properly and shut the game down once they got 2-0 ahead.
