Current performance would suggest otherwise
Plastics take the 3 points at home against the Hammers 2-1.
Blues burgled that win tonight tassie. Very lucky near the end too, hanging on. But they’re up to 4th.
Meanwhile the transfer window draws to a close. Ange snares Tel from Bayern after all on a loan deal with an option. He’s done alright, good player… Mainly smaller loans happening elsewhere. Villa v busy.
Anyway, onward into the business end of the Cups and league season now.
The kid did a back flip after speaking to Ange. Maybe Ange said he will no longer be at Spurs by the end of the week. Not sure if this kid can play but need a miracle Thursday night, so bring him in.
Massive turnaround by Tel. Thats if all the other reports were true. And Villa fans concerned about the appearance of Rashford in his signing photo. He looks like he’s been sleeping under a railway bridge and stuffing on big macs.
No he was just part of the high performance program they are running at Old Trafford
Eerily, rewatched the film United on Netflix the other evening. Its a good watch, David Tennant excellent as ever.
Tragedy still, even after near 70 years on.
Not much can be said that hasn’t been said before. R I P
So, to the EFL Cup SFs.
Geordies do the Cup SF double pretty easily over Arsenal … 4-0 on agg and Eddie Howe has them dreaming of silverware. Been 56 years for those on Tyneside who bleed black and white (and Newcastle Brown ale … horrible stuff imho). And Arsenal just can’t sign a striker … strange.
Meanwhile, its Ange’s Spurs up next in the other SF at Anfield tonight. Phew, got their work cut out with Sala, Gapko and co firing on all cylinders. And Spurs’s Anfield record is a shocker (1 win in 27 ). Back four, with Spence likely having to deal with Mo have it all to do. But Ange will have newbie forward Mattys Tel and their new CH Danso probably on the bench, so not all doom and gloom. Jag an early goal, keep the Kop a bit quieter and defend like lions could be Ange’s best bet.
Be a cracker though but @smooth and other Reds fans on here will be pretty relaxed I’d reckon.
Fearing that the goal lead will evaporate in moments.
Danso in, no Van Der Ven
And what a debut for him.
Hot off the plane … in front of a full house at Anfield
GAKPO!
Will be lucky to finish within 3 goals.
Still 1-1 …get to HT and its a 45’ tie.
But Ange brings his new man Tel on
The perennially injured Richarlison
Need a miracle, unfortunately I’m not a religious man. Anfield is a tough place to go.
Salah scores from the penalty spot. 2-0 Liverpool, 2-1 on aggregate. Finish these Reds!
Another cheap giveaway, just playing so timidly.
Liverpool cruising.
Ange shuffles the deck and they’re having a go at it.
Kinsky the new keeper is rattled though …
Anything is still possible but not looking good for Spurs.
