It was great to see Brad excited and celebrating on the ground. He doesn’t get like that often well not in public anyway.
SEN “crunch time” now 43 minutes in to its hour slot, and other than a mention of Goldstein going well for his age, not a mention of Essendon vs GWS. None.
Interesting.
And long may it continue…
They know we are coming and they ■■■■■■■ hate it.
they only talk us up when they think its a false dawn.
fwiw Kane Cornes is a beliver now said he needed to see us take a big scalp for him to take us seriously
I posted this pre-game:
To say I’m pleasantly surprised, would be a huge understatement. This group of players genuinely care about themselves, and the club. I’ll forgive the sloppy first half, as they were clearly trying, but were just untidy with their ball use.
The second half though, was some of the most brutal football that this club has played in 20 years. Look no further than the bump/tackle by Caldwell (or was it Perkins?) on Whitfield in the third quarter on the wing.
The pressure we applied to GWS in the second half was incredible. We reduced one of the best teams in the comp, a team that humiliated us last time, to a disorganised, terrified mess.
Now we need to back it up. No drinking bathwater this week please. Come out, and pulverise Norf into oblivion
This is so awesome to me
I went to that game last year, I rocked up 10 minutes late and we were already getting thrashed. IV never wanted to leave a game at quarter time but I really didn’t want to be there. Stuck through it but was definitely the worst game IV attended. So coming into yesterday’s game I was abit iffy and at quarter time I had painful flashbacks to last year’s game. So this is my favourite win of the season so far!
Bloody glad we are finally making a turn in the way we play. Go the mighty bombers!!
I thought on TV it sounded more even.
At the ground, at least where I was, the volume was up there, and suitably biased. I noticed the commentators mentioning how quiet it was when Toby Green kicked his goal, and they commented it deserved more praise.
I loved the roar for our team, and just nothing for them. It didn’t seem as stark on the broadcast. I think they were playing sound directly from both of the Giants’ supporters.
A bit harsh in what was probably his best game for us so far. He doesn’t rack up any stats to show for his hard work, but he’s in the team for his run down pressure, which he was applying all around the ground.
Who else are we going to try? We gave Menzie a decent run at the beginning of the season, but he wasn’t offering more in goals or as much in pressure. Hobbs is the only other one we could put in there. He’ll give effort all game too, but his closing speed isn’t as quick, and he’s more valuable when he’s able to get his hands on the ball more, rather than playing Davey’s low stat, sacrificial pressure role.
200cm Cox tripling Davey’s pressure acts. Case closed.
And can I just take a moment to express my appreciation for David Rodan
Outside of the Cox/Goldstein stuff up we were clearly the better side in the second quarter. We missed some sitters, so did they.
Chuffed by this win. Need to win at least 4 of our next 5 to really show progress. Theoretically easy given opposition save for the Blues.
Would this be our best midfield in over a decade (with due apologies to Jobe)?
Hudson would be a good commentator if he kept his mouth shut. The guy is the definition of a flog

Oh, it was DEFINITELY biased!
ThitrrrrrTTTEEEEEEEERNNNNNNN
I think he does, we surprised him & the rest of the AFL media experts

Ive known Dave since high school footy together. Absolute ripper of a bloke and genuinely happy all the time. His face whem someone goals is just spot on for his personality, and always gives me an extra smile.
Just seems like he loves life and being a goal ump
