Isn’t crunch time on Saturdays? Or do they do a Sunday one as well?
Haven’t had a win like this where we feel we are becoming legit since we pumped top of the table Eagles by 10 goals in round 7 2012.
And continually hitting the opponent hard at any weak point. Team or player weak points. Remember Nick Riewoldt coming back after a fractured collarbone? I bet Nick does.
The way we shut down the game with 12 minutes left was a sight to behold. I’ve never seen an Essendon team do that with so much authority.
Ok thanks for that
Of all the flogs involved in the afl media Hudson barely rates a mention
I think the key thing that made the win pretty good was we were playing a close to full strength gws (minus Isaac Cumming and Callum Brown). Tonadd to that, most of their best players played well as well and we stood up to that.
It’s either play on or 50. Since he didn’t call play on its 50, as the GWS player chased him back behind the mark

Just saw this in the replay… Wow
We’re going to need a bigger chart
Does anyone know where the pressure numbers are for every quarter?
Be interesting to see if that number changes dramatically over the game.
It felt like the difference

And GWS were stinging coming off a loss.
They were absolutely up for this game and we found a way to beat them.
Go Bombers.
So much whole team pressure in the 2nd half !
We Won the Weekend, by a substantial margin.

The wheelchair games were both versus the Hawks. Those were paddlin’s.
Genuine question…
Is all this C Ward hype about being ‘as hard as a cats head’ for real? (They say it every farkin week)
I don’t see him as being anything more than a durable, good AFL footballer, and we know he loves a flop. But not really a hard nut.
That was one of the loudest Essendon crowds i heard on TV can only imagine how much louder it was in person
Yeah, nah, a very good player over a long period- tough, skilled and plays the ball. If Caldwell (who is a similar style player) can emulate his career we’ll be in great shape.
