So I wanted to test out some programming skills (I was studying Java, but now am looking at Ruby) and in the end made a short demo for an Essendon RPG (for Windows).

 

Fairly straight forward. 

  • Download the file from the link below;

  • Click the file and it will unpack to your choice of folder.
  • Open the folder and click 'game.exe'
  • Away you go.
  • Controls are with the keyboard arrows and space or enter.

 

There are no files installed to windows or stuff like that so it should be safe for work. There is sound though so turn your speakers down so not to be busted.

 

Remember this is a demo and there is still a fair bit of work to be done. I was playing more with the dynamics / controls of the game before working on it properly.

Not compatible with my version of Windoze. I'm guessing it's 32 bit only?

Should be fine with windows 7 32 or 64 bit…

Havent tested it on anything else…

Must have been a dodgey download. The file is only 196 bytes?

Ummm, no… Should be 129 mb

Clicked on above and got a site with a file called project1.exe  ???   I clicked this and it takes me to a site called Binary

Lol. It froze as I was killing the hawthorn scout! Fun.

Project1.exe is the install file.

 

When clicking on the link, you click on the 'free download' button in grey.

 

Wait 30 seconds.

 

Pop in the words you see in the box and the download will commence.

What spec pc are you using boot?

AMD quad core 3.2 GHz Black edition, 16 Meg DDR3 ram, Win 7 64 Ultimate. Nothing flash

 

 

I was not doing so well tryng to kill the scout, so I tried "special" instead of "attack" to see what happened and it froze.

Hawthorn scouts are harder to kill than carlon supporters lol. Liked dank's Fridge. And Bomber's cape.
