Essendon Videos

Knights was shithaus!

Line in the sand fights with Triple M commentary.

anyone have the old bomberblitz video of the season 93. was always good viewing, alas lost the video a few years back, never been able to find it again in store since :frowning:

Open Mike with Leon Baker

Didn’t think there were any Essendon youtube videos I hadn’t seen, but stumbled across this one. RIP Clinton.

Gee, I really miss Clinton Grybas. Had real passion and knowledge of the game unlike 90% of the commentators out there atm.

RIP.

An absolute beauty from 1993:

Can’t stop watching it, and it brings a tear to the eye. Love the Baby Bombers!

The apostrophe in the title is like nails down a chalkboard to me.

If anyone has the first half of this…

Or this whole game but particularly the last half…

I’d be very grateful.

When i say it was non televised, i mean there would have been a single camera that channel seven used on the day, however, this game was not shown on the replay that week.

How often have the single camera games got out into the wild?

(1992 ANZAC Day doesn’t count; that was an approved release.)

Should be in the conversation for Best Goal of All Time.

I like this one. So many great moments.
Bakers goal in the '84 GF, Sheedy waving his jacket, gives me goose bumps even today.

yep, it’s very rare.

I have a VHS copy of Rd 4 1986 [also against Melbourne, this time at Windy Hill], which I think was a “non-televised” single camera game. But you are correct, it’s very rare.

Even Anzac 1992 that you mentioned, the club VHS release titled “Comeback” was only the last quarter in full.

Can someone with a few extra years on them please explain these little gems found buried deep within the internet.

I know the second one.

The words and tune it was sung to were on a stubby holder I had in the 80’s, and I sang it with gusto for a bit.

Always figured it had been some pirate merch with a faux club song on it, but IIRC, I was blitzucated long ago, that it was a new song experiment that went down like Brad Hill being Ambrosed,

What strikes me more there though, … is how much the player there looks like Walla.
