There is no excuse for this. Blatant mismanagement. David Rundle has been head physio at the club since 2016 and his team have a lot to answer for.

are all these calf injuries typical of all other teams? It seems a little bit too common at Essendon.

The reason he fell so far in the draft was because recruiters doubted how his body would hold up in the AFL. No one ever questioned his talent and unfortunately looks like the other recruiters were right.
