I think you are missing the point entirely.
Baker is referring to the steep drop off in performance.
The fact Mercs had a peak period of 8 years, and Fanta only 2ish is irrelevant, so is how you compare their football prowess against each other.
The point is that for differing reasons, they’ve both gone from elite players in their respective positions to very ordinary players in a short amount of time.

I guess we’ll see how he fares in Adelaide. I have my doubts. From external perspective, I question his durability, application, and attitude.

I can see Fantasia being very good for Adelaide.
One thing they know how to do is build a forward-line, put the round peg in the round hole, and be absolutely fine with elite role-players.

To be fair, if I were Adelaide I’d totally offer Galucci AND Poholke.

Both apart of McGrath, Clarke and Ridleys crop all played Metro together with Poholke playing against them in Country so would say they would love playing with some familiar faces. Not sure if they are the quality of talent we should go for but atleast Poholke would add depth as a tall midfielder.
A future second for Raz would be an outstanding result, IMO. We might need to send them a future third or fourth back as well but still, you’d be happy with that in a strong draft.
EDIT: Do you think Crows would go for that mate? Or is that just our asking price?
