I think his role was to keep an eye on Rich and Zorko. Don’t really know if played that well considering both had a ■■■■ ton of the ball. He didn’t trouble the score board too.
4 years and he still plays the same. No hate but he needs to find another level since Durham and Martin are ahead of him in the wings. Maybe a potential replacement for Smith soon?

I feel a bit sorry for him. His confidence seems absolutely rooted. He gets a receive in space with acres in front of him and refuses to tuck the ball under his arm and run into space, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not confident enough to bounce the ball.
The parallels with J Merrett are crazy IMO. He’s all over the joint, as if he’d been reading Blitz posts about himself all week.
I don’t think he’ll make it, but I think he could be a lot better with some skilled coaching/man management. A bit like Cutler.

I think most criticisms have been pretty consistent.
The Question for him is whether you believe the criticism or want to go out and prove them wrong.
That applied to the whole Team from last week.
The Team and the Individual in a professional sport can expect criticism, at times in its harshest forms.
It’s how you respond to it that matters.
I Actually think he did respond this week and I saw something from him that I hadn’t seen before, he attacked a couple of contests and did some targeted tackling and wasn’t bad.
That was a huge step up in my books.
But in the end his performance in its entirety still feels sub-par.
As you point out he still lacks belief that he can be the man … in some of those attacking scenarios. Others with less experience are doing much better.
Is he waiting for permission? I don’t think that’s ever gonna come.

Zorko was on one leg lol
16:42 in 3rd QTR is exactly why he is VFL only. Doesn’t offer anything defensive in the forwardline. Didn’t go in for the first tackle hard and borked at going for the second tackle, which he would have got there.
I reckon he got a runner out to him as coaching staff saw it because minutes later runs down Rich in a tackle
