Fark carlton continues

Yep. Not sure why we’re worrying about FC players’ feelings when Zaka, Cutler, Gleeson etc are pilloried every wek.

Alright, probably best to change the subject.

So…how many times do you reckon Carlton have got ahead of themselves over the course of Murphy’s career?

At the very least, thrice.

And this year would make four.
Pretty impressive.

Best “FC get ahead of themselves” was when they rolled into i think it was about round 3 or 4 unbeaten and declared themselves premiership favourites.

We proceeded to rinse them.

This is true. Take the GWS game thread which took place the day after Fark Carlton’s humiliating loss at the hands of Norf for example, you’d hope we might’ve learnt that this kind of gloating is thoroughly regrettable when you then go on to have a poor loss.

I mean fark Carlton with a rusty iron bar wrapped in barbed wire, but let’s wait till we beat the sun’s before gloating in this thread.

I appreciate your imagery, but I’m more than happy with our season.
The difference is that we didn’t ponce around saying we were finals certainties.
lol. ■■■■■.

I hope we make it. Not shattered if we don’t.

But that would most likely mean we’ve lost to GC or the filth.

I would/will be shattered if that scenario happens

True.
Losing would be sad.
The season would overall be good.
So lets’ just win, eh?

I get you.

I’m just a little ways off reflective when it’s game day

Where is this “he went to Fark Carlton for the finals” angle coming from?

Surely he’s not that stupid?

I think Hird (EDIT: not M Lloyd) did a big double-page thread on how their midfield were premiership stuff: Judd, Murphy, Gibbs etc.

At the time I think we assumed he was doing it insincerely, to pump them up.
Now I’m absolutely not sure.

I think the double page spread was a few years earlier, and a Hirdy article?

“Nick Stevens is the floater.”

Ah.

My mistake.

I just wanted to say Nick Stevens is the floater, again.

For old times sake.

They eat floaters, in South Australia.

I’m rapt that FC are crap and Saad is a shadow of the player he was with us, hopefully it stays that way for years to come. But I gotta admit, I felt a bit sorry for him when I saw this. Going to Carlton was a questionable move in many ways, but the way I see it, we’ve improved massively on-field this year without him and we replaced him with Nick Hind, who’s had a far better season and clearly loves being back at EFC. Saad leaving has turned out to be a positive for us.

Fark those scumbags, was only fitting that Murphy left the game the same way he entered it. Saad the snake having a sook was just icing on top

I think Fark Carlton folding and letting a new team start in Tassie is the fairest thing to do.
