Lewis Young, Cottrell and Jordan Boyd are all on the sidelines for a significant amount of time. I donā€™t profess to have any idea who those players are, but Carlton fans are quite perturbed by the news, so thatā€™s good.

BLUES DUO INJURED

Tarquin Oakley

Carlton have been dealt a double injury blow with Jordan Boyd and Matthew Cottrell to spend time on the sidelines.

Boyd has re-injured an acute fracture in his foot and is expected to have surgery on Wednesday, while Cottrell is recovering from a navicular stress fracture.

In a club statement, Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd was still positive both players can play a role in 2023.

ā€œItā€™s disappointing news for Matthew and Jordan, who have shown an appetite to compete since day one of pre-season,ā€ Lloyd said.

ā€œWe know both players will leave no stone unturned in their recovery: Matthew has already been very diligent in his rehab, and we know Jordan will do the exact same post-surgery.

ā€œWe will give both players the required time to recover to ensure theyā€™re in the best possible position to positively impact the team in season 2023.ā€

I donā€™t wish injuries on any player as itā€™s their livelihood, even if they are Fark Carlton players.

I do however hope that all Fark Carlton players are simply crap at football.

Would love nothing more than this club to crash and burn

How many times is that for him now?

For anyone whingeing about rubbish trades that weā€™ve done over the years (and that inludes meā€¦), think about Zac Williams for a minuteā€¦

I think Achilles/calf and hamstrings have been his previous significant issues.

Carltonā€™s pace stocks taking a bit of a hit at the moment through injury, with Walsh and Philp too.

Williams is a dud anyway

Wasnā€™t he a free agent?

But yes heā€™s on massive coin considering his output
