But the play where Saad absolutely bottled the marking contest from the dominant position against Menzie, and then tried to snipe him off the ball (but missed)ā€¦

LOL, Saad is a snake but was not trying to snipe Menzie. He was trying to bump him off the line to allow his teammate to get to the ball under no pressure. Menzie saw it coming, as you should.

Obviously Eddie Betts is a Carlton man, but that clip shows him as an intelligent and knowledgeable one, beautifully spoken and a truly decent human being as well. I havenā€™t been terribly impressed by him in those super-quick, half-shouted comments and remarks during the games, tbh, but I was impressed by that.

Used to live near a pub the C**ton players used for post match drinks, B Ratten and in particular Betts really stood out as going out of their way with punters. Seems a genuinely nice bloke.
