Anyone watch Front Bar last night? Pagan was on.
He made an interesting comment about being appointed coach of the FCFC. He was told they wanted him to help rebuild the culture of the club as it was not in a good place. When he came in he put a line through a number of player names and told them to move on. This had a flow on effect to the staff at the club as staff were split by who they supported int he team. When those players were moved on, the staff packed up and left. He said the place was in turmoil and what he did made it worse.
Sounds like the place was a mess.

To be fair to him, he signed on the dotted line about 5 minutes before the paper bags were discovered.
Which cost them a million dollar fine (money they didn’t have), forced them to shed salary cap (ie senior players, with Bradley and others retiring), stripped them of 6 early draft picks - and the board wanted him to keep the club afloat in terms of wins and memberships, which resulted in them going after recycled players.
One of the all time worst bits of timing in footy history.

I reckon norf have stuffed it, and Brad Scott’s assessment of their list and need for a rebuild will prove 100% correct. I doubt the norf fan will wait for the rebuild before demanding Shaw is sacrificed to the footy gods.
Whereas blues have a talented batch of young players and a good young coach. They haven’t stuffed it up yet, but hopefully will stay true to form and appoint proos.

Paul Roos involved at Carlton… great so that’s now another team he will show heavy bias to when commentating
Ross Lyon would be the absolute worst choice for carlton. He can’t rebuild to save himself.

Getting Roos/Voss or Lyon would prove that the Blooos have learnt nothing about building a club culture and will be going for yet another quick fix. It would mean that they rate their list highly and some deluded fans might think they hear a window opening. At least that is how the marketing/membership department will sell either of those packages as new coach. Such a move would have ‘they know we’re coming part 2,’ written all over it. Then they would probably elevate Alex Silvagni to the leadership group. Fingers crossed these things come to pass, and condemn them to another decade of wandering in the wilderness.
