I’m not so sure about that. The media and their supporters get sucked in as much as we do. Both basket case clubs for a much longer time yet.

I chuckled at this quote. Even the article says they chased certain people and they were told no, except for Crazy Vossy. It wasn’t as thorough as they are claiming, there really wasn’t too many options.

I find it strange that clubs which are 40+ million dollar businesses employ such a flimsy approach to finding a coach.
2 caretakers into the FT job. Probably not that much out there. Surely if Lyon was leaving Freo one of Carlton or North would have waited for him?

Or maybe clubs are moving away from dinosaurs and are after fresh coaches who relate to this generation far better. Dayan has possibly changed the direction of coaching now.

You may be right (and if so I stand corrected). I know for a fact though that old mate and the Scott’s are buddies from way back.
Lyon will leave. He won’t get a new contract from Freo. He will be on the look out for a position to jump to before his contract expires next year.
