McKay and Curnow up front will be good but not sure on their back 6, with or without Docherty.
Yep, Murphy is already 32.
Simpson is still an important member of their back 6 but he’s 35.
Even Ed Curnow is a locked in best 22 and he’ll be 30 before next season starts.
They’re going to have a very good first 8 or 10. They still drop away very sharply after that imo.
Simpson was their best player for a long time and he’s still playing extremely well. But he is just beginning to come off his peak, and at his age the road downhill is very steep.
They do have a lot of good players. Weitering is top class. Cripps will be a champion and Walsh will be great as well. Charlie Curnow is already a star. When they play well they beat poor teams and give the best a contest. If our team doesn’t have a turnaround in its approach, they will beat us next time.
Looking for schadenfreude by predicting the failure of opposition teams is fraught with danger.

Well, sorry Fark Carlton, the AFL didn’t love you enough to grant you draft concessions (even though you’ve only won 33 games in the last 6 seasons/132 games). They’ve given that love to the Suns… so much outpouring of love there.
