Just look at our father sons. They’re all ■■■■■■■ ■■■■, and have all been, bar the players mentioned in the prior post. What more facts do you need?

What facts do you want? we have only had three good father sons in the last thirty years and there are teams like the Dogs, Collingwood and Brisbane that have three good players that are currently playing

It was just announced the other day they’re looking to include pasifika kids in the nga due to the request of clubs. Rodan was born in Melbourne though I’m pretty sure as he grew up around the Essendon area, my mate use to play cricket with him, so tevita still might not be eligible anyway. Also from what i know, he’s not as good as young bewick.
It’s funny Polynesian kids aren’t currently accessible, but someone born and raised in white suburbia that finds out at the age of 15 that he’s 1 percent aboriginal is.

We’ve taken 8 FS picks, the only ‘good’ ones would be Daniher and Watson
The dogs have taken 8, the best being Libba and Darcy. Unless you want to argue Hunter and West are the same kind of ‘good’ as the first two
The pies have taken 15 - I would argue the best being both Daicos brothers, Moore, Cloke, maybe Davis
Brisbane have taken 6, with Brown and the Ashcrofts being the best
Most FS picks don’t turn out stars. The fact that 2 clubs have struck gold with multiple kids from the same parent at the same time is just a coincidence

We need to be more pro-active, I’ve said it before make the Hanger the Centre of athletic female excellence focusing on all female team sports. Play the long game.

I was taking about recently the father sons that have come into the game are overall of a higher quality and going higher in the draft. So my point was are we not putting enough development into this area or is it complete dumb luck.
If it’s the former I think we should be putting far more resources into it as it a free hit at the draft.
Our best three guys from father sons were fletch recruited thirty year ago Watson 20 years ago and big Joe in 2012 that’s a long time between drinks

I mean to a certain extent, yeah part of it is dumb luck. Unless you wanna start blaming the club for being so crap so for long that sons of champions don’t buy into footy when they’re kids, in which case I’d accept that
