@THE_DON1 any vision around of Tex this year? I know he only played a few school games but something is better than nothing
If I had it I would have shared it
My kids play at Strathmore so I’ve seen him play a few times, he’s a little bigger than most of the other mids at that level. The clubs still rotate players as a rule, so have seen him play all over the ground.
In the mids and up forward he’s just too quick, smart and skilled for anyone. In the backline he reads the play better than any kids I’ve seen at this age.
Who knows what the future holds, but plenty have said he’s the best junior footballer they’ve seen at this age, but a lot can happen in the next 6 years.
I would go all antoniobanderas.gif but doing that about a 12 year old probably gets me put on a list
Apparently the Davey twins won’t be playing NTFL this year, Essendon doesn’t want them to
dissapointing given how much footy they missed this year.
Not sure on the exact reason but if it’s what I’m thinking then I understand but that would also mean we are 100% committed to both boys for next years draft/
Makes sense: reduce risk of injury; reduce interest in high draft rounds.
Possibly just giving them a chance for a big preseason as opposed to getting physically smashed by adults?
Both will be fine with the physicality but I think your right on the fitness, doing a pre-season with Oakleigh Chargers Will better prepare them for the AFL environment
DAVEY TWINS OR RIOT
Ignorant question because I don’t know the infrastructure of the NTFL but is there a possibility Oakleigh/James Hird Academy stuff in ‘22 is more professional than an NTFL setup? Might be a case of the club wanting the boys in the best high performance environment.
100% more professional

Just very subtlety not exposing their talent so we don’t have to pay overs…Dodoro masterclass!
Would have loved the lads to come down here for a year. South Adelaide have a great junior program as evidenced by the current and future crops coming through and would have been nice to get them into their program for a season
But 100% less barramundi.
Playing against men in the SANFL a huge advantage when entering AFL
I was meaning more of playing SANFL U18’s obviously if they got a few league games that would be a bonus
I played juniors there when Darren Mead was running the joint - the talent pathways/development are night and day since I was there, it’s great to see.
Nice bit of lineage with the Davey’s old man playing there too!
