Father-Sons - Mason Fletcher, Tom Hird, etc

Maybe we told him we are picking him

Essington seeps in

I see D’intinosanto kicked another 5.0 in the 1st week of finals.

Takes his season tally to 32 sitting 2nd behind Manton. He also has good tackle numbers for a small forward.

Maybe the club are trying to drive down his appeal to the other clubs so they give up very little for him as a Father-Son.

What’s cheaper than a rookie pick?

That was the point. To get him/keep him down to rookie pick level.

And then he explodes next year.

With our injury history, nothing would surprise me.

So your saying we only kept Jake Long on our list cause of his name? Oh crap

Trying to think of another reason.

Yeah I can’t sorry

Have you not read the title of the Bellchambers thread?

Is there a cap on explosions?

Too many FS threads, I put this in another one of them about Mason.

Apparently Hird was on a roundball podcast (with Sandro and co?) talking about his boys playing soccer, said they’d definitely be choosing that code over AFL.

Santo

Both James and family have been a real disappointment since James retired.

You really are a class act aren’t you

i mustnt have been paying much attention
was a very soccer focused podcast.

but i thought it was more along if you could be good at either what would you want them to be play and it was like well soccer can earn big dollars etc if at the top level.

they also reminisced about hirdy being a handy rugby union and soccer player, but footy was in his blood and he didnt really have a choice what sport he would focus on.

whereas he seems pretty comfortable to let his boys decide what they want to do.

Why should we draft him? Because he is Dustin’s son? Mason actually has potential and talent which is worth exploration? Otherwise why draft him? He’d just end up like Longy in the seconds.

I don’t think we should recruit Mason.
