GNR Illusion 1 or 2 (which ever one came fourth - both great albums).
it’s incredible that post-2000 bono got so annoying that everyone forgot they have 5 or 6 hall of fame tier albums
Exactly…their 80s output was right up there with the best decade of music from any band
(and 1991s Achtung Baby went alright as well)
Faces - Ooh la la (probably their best album)
The war on drugs - lost in the dream (again probably their best album)
Beatles - Beatles for Sale
CCR - Willy and the poor boys
RHCP - mothers milk
David Bowie - Hunky Dory
Wings - Band on the run
Pink Floyd 4th without Syd Barrett was Meddle, that’s awesome
Toto IV
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
In some peoples eyes they did crash and burn, but Pearl Jam’s 4th record ‘No Code’ is in some peoples eyes their best. It’s a record that just grows on you and has got better with age. A lot of people jumped off after Vitalogy because it wasn’t cookie cutter grunge. That was a mistake!
Yield then followed which as just as good if not better!
The white stripes - Elephant.
RATM - Renegades
Stone Temple pliots - No 4.
MGMT - little dark age.
Are ok:
Weezer - Maladroit
PJ - No code.
Pantera - Far beyond driven, could be here, as it’s the bands 4th album with Phil on vocals. But 7th album overall.
Love that War on Drugs record. What a band!
Neil Young - Harvest.
(imho almost his best work)
Sabbath vol 4, im not a massive fan but its a pretty decent album too.
Rust in Peace - Megadeth.
Seminal.
WTF is this fourth album tanks bullshit.
Locally - soft rock.
Powerfinger Odyssey Number 5.
(ironically their fourth and given the greatest album of all time by JJJ…)
Def Leppard -. Hysteria
The Pretty Reckless - Death by Rock and Roll
Halestorm - Vicious
How did I forget:
Rush - 2112
Queen - A Night at the Opera.
Ocean Rain Echo & The Bunnymen
Talking Heads Remain In Light
Although, I’m ignoring any number of compilations of MOR schlock ~ shamelessly released by a record company who didn’t know what to do with him.
