East 17 weren’t too bad in the early days ( I assume this attendance was in the early days).

Oh all those poxy, poxy boy bands, I did at least have some respect for East 17 because they wrote their own songs. From memory, one of them pretty much wrote them all himself (not co-written with a committee of 10 people like things are these days).

I didn’t like them particularly, but It’s Alright used to go-off at The Sugar Shack and Boardwalk (and by “go-off” I mean the girls loved it…) And, Stay Another Day is an OK enough tune.

Kazaa for me and then MIRC in the late 90s? Or early noughties? Never realised that there was so much more music in the style I enjoyed than what I knew. Remember the people I wanted to download from MIRC had a ridiculous queue. Nothing worse than waiting all that time and downloading a poor song.

Haha how could I forget.

Those were the days. You could actually find songs they would play in the nightclubs.

Kiss: Double Platinum first album with my own money

Almost Bruce Springsteen on the Born in the USA tour at the Showgrounds, but the first concert was the Delltones up at the Wangaratta town hall a couple of months earlier.

First concert: Pearl Jam (Tennis Centre 1998) Show 1.

First album: CD wise it would’ve been Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled his Feet. I’m pretty certain I had a few vinyl prior to that. Maybe Smash Hits 88? Had some Jimmy Barnes, Poison, Choirboys and Cheap Trick. Really don’t know why I bought it though?

First live concert black Sabbath at festival Hall circa 1974? Excellent. Uriah heap and status quo toured around the same time.

First album was black sabbath self titled which was their first album.

Don’t know for sure when it was, but Black Sabbath played at Kooyong on an overcast day, they were ordinary. Their first trip to Oz was to play the festival at Myponga, south of Adelaide in1971/2. I hitched over to go to the festival, a week after hitching home from the Odyssey festival at Wallacia, south west of Sydney.

At Myponga they came out 2 - 3 times to do sound checks. By the time they played that night l was exhausted and fell sleep in the middle of the set.

I’m going to say my first concert was Acdc in about 1975, at festival hall Melbourne, pretty sure hush was support band.
My first album I can recall was cosmos factory credence.
LOL I just re purchased that same album agian recently and also the high voltage acdc album again too
The circle of life

Footnote I remember at the time someone managed to get a direct dial phone number to a motel room in Melbourne where acdc were staying. Pla e was called freeway Gardens somewhere near the city end of the tulla. We spoke to a few of them for quite sometime, if it wasn’t them it was a bunch of very good actors. Pretty sure it was legit

That’s where the Rosie story happened.

She was a prostitute from the brothel around the corner on Racecourse Road.

First gig(they didn’t put on a very good show sadly) You am I at the uni bar.
(I grew up in the country so no real bands until I was 18 and in the big smoke).

First album. Hmmm. Can remember my first CD, it was double allergic by powderfinger.

Pre that it was tapes.

Shameless self-promoter, RR.
