Moan, moan, groan, groan.
Exactly. Once this hell clears up the AFL will bend over even further to the betting and gambling companies & finances will be sorted quick smart
Streamlined footy department

defence - James Kelly
Strip it right back
And tax
What exactly does he do again?
we won our one and only game, so donāt sack anybody.
All clubs have to get down to 8.7mill in spending this year and then 6.7mill in 2021
is there any hope for us, that Worsfold falls on his sword and resign ,that Would Save us money
There goes any chance of getting those goal kicking and tackling coaches Iāve been hoping for
Townsend has a name, you know.
I reckon a few coaches will take up multiple roles.
Best we could hope would be a formalisation of Caracella or Jordan as Goalkicking coach and Kelly as Tackling coach.
Youād also think of the senior AFL coaches that Harvey and Worsfold are probably the most expendable, Jordan doesnāt have the name of the others but heād also be on the smallest pay packet.
Wouldnāt be surprised to see Lloydy and Fletch around the club more when we get through this.
In the case of Lloyd, that would welcome as he hasnāt covered himself in glory being a part of the media.
No chance that will happen.
in recent years the AFL has done another deal with Channel 7 and got 2.7 billion dollar, surely most of itās sitting in the bank accumulating interest ,you canāt say that the Giants and the Gold Coast Suns had sucked up all the money
The AFL in the past has been a money making machine for a select few of the boys club. It is a hub of businesses which all feed each other. The employees and the players are the cattle the only things which arenāt are the supporters.
The AFL has just over $100m of cash reserve remaining.
They donāt get it all upfront.
2.7 billion divided by 10 or so years.
It also depends on actually footy games being played.
AFL really should have had enough to cover 1 year of no-football/TV rights. Probably more as a contingency for a player strike.
As of 2018 the AFL had pumped 170million into GWS, canāt imagine the GC would be any less.
Once you pay stadiums, players, coaches, clubs with handouts and lose all the sponsorship money, gate sales and merchandise then that will dry up pretty quick.
