Former #10 Saint Francis, sacked from the Sydney Diocese

Needs more than 2 games in the position perhaps.

Yeah perhaps. He’s had what, 4 in a row now. The gc game was certainly his best. Could have snagged a few goals too if he put two hands up more often.

He was good early against the Bulldogs. I reckon that played a part in what 2MP did later

So many players on our list have improved this season. Would love to see Francis having a break-out game this arvo.

Back this guy to intercept then hit a chest far more than mark and goal.

Like him back personally, but I’m no expert that’s for sure, and happily defer to The Kenworth and what he’s towing on this one.

Wow, didn’t realise that he has already had 4 - is that right?
Anyway - he is either a stop-gap in the position till next year with Jones/Baldwin coming in, or, he needs to be given a season to hone his craft.

Sydney, dogs, gc, pies.

Against gc he stayed involved more, probably missed opportunities in the first quarter to really impact.

In the other games I felt he was confined to brief cameos, like the first quarter against the dogs as pointed out by @aboods above

Didn’t do enough today.

Where does Francis sit in this team. He’s certainly not a forward. Leads under the ball. Goes up one handed. If he can’t find a place I. The backline should he even be in the team?

He’s better than any other available option, so yes he should be in the team.

will lose his spot to Baldwin next year and that’ll be the end of his time here I reckon unless they want to give him another run in the backline

Now is probably the right time to move him on then.
Always harder to do when they’re a pick 6 but Franc quite frankly is underwhelming.

the bloke is gassed after quarter time. Its time to concede that talent is not enough. Trade him if we can get anything. Or else just move him on. No more excuses

I wouldn’t bother offering another contract. Waste of time

Doesn’t have the speed/endurance to be a forward in the modern game. If he stays a forward he’ll be playing a lot of vfl next year.

I dont know his contract status. If he is out of contract, I agree. the guy is the proverbial cocktease

DO NOT BAG KPP IN WET WEATHER FOOTBALL PEOPLE!! All you ask for is contests. Turn your attention to the likes of Shiel & Smith if you want to complain.

So those hanging it on the only forward who presented all day, with crap delivery Coleman couldn’t even grab want him put in the cannon and dispatched ?

Are you going to the string thread to say the same thing? Both had 9 disposals.

How about Perkins 5 disposals and wouldn’t put his head over the ball?

Or Zerretts 8 clangers ?

Shiels panicking anytime he went near the ball?

Answer those first before looking at Francis

He is not good enough to be in the team. I’m sorry to say it, but it’s the fact. He’s not good enough as a backman and he’s just hopeless as a forward. Real forwards find ways to kick goals out of snatched opportunities. Francis finds ways to just miss from golden opportunities.

I feel very sorry for the guy. He’s staked his future on being an AFL player and he’s not going to make it. We need to find someone else. We badly need a really strong key back and a really strong key forward.
