I know willie ■■■■ has been strong on how the club wanted draper, and severely underestimated what it would take to keep him.
but just like stringer last year, if they wanted to keep these players, they wouldn’t be severely undercutting their contracts.
If the club really , like really wanted to keep him, they wouldn’t have offered such a lowball starting offer. Mass got the same treatment just didn’t have the cult status behind him.

I strongly urge you to take a look at where every current ruck was drafted and subsequently traded.
I’ve done the exercise in another thread and can’t be arsed finding it.
Even Gawn was pick 34.
Sure there are a couple that went early doors in the draft but literally just a couple.
Ruckman are super overrated which is why most clubs won’t give up high draft or trade capital to grab them. Crickey even Draper is costing Brisbane zilch
