There is a strong view out there that AFL is leaking information to Cal about Draper compensation being band 2, to soften the blow / test out the masses.
If this a chance to be true⌠we need the Bomber army to rally⌠Flood the radios, trade discussion shows, twitter, facebook, insta, tiktok⌠react angrily⌠write to AFL⌠whether you think it is fair, or donât care, or canât be bothered, or you think it wonât work. It really shouldnât matter⌠for the good of the club just go crazy out there in the media so when it comes to announcing it, AFL can rethink a bit.
I strongly believe the offer by Brisbane should trigger band 1. There is no doubt AFL wonât give that to us. We have people like Barrett who is out there watering it down. It is our club⌠it needs all the help right now.

Probably a good result. With our recent track record we are more likely to pick a decent player with a pick in our 20s rather than top 10.

He wasnât the list manager when Draper signed his contract to unrestricted free agency.
He also has zero control over compensation or the right to match.
You could argue Rosa should have tabled an offer to Draper which forced band 1 compo prior to his decision but Iâm not sure 5 years at 1 mil a year would be the right decision
