Former #32 Travis Colyer

Ah, Hooker?

How quickly people forget.

Loving the positive feel out of the club at the moment
Usually means something bad is about to happen
It's actually not true. Wish it was.
Well that sucks

Somethings doesn’t seem quite right when John Ralph writes a positive article about Essendon.

Probably just doing it to annoy Nathan Buckley, and rewarding us for putting up with his shiit articles and not complaining.

I like that these sods are putting out something positive for once but it's a bit of a nothing article all the same.
Still got the lie in the second sentence, though.

Really annoys me that line. Those contracted players are just That, Contracted!

"Colyer’s withering start to 2015 saw the line-breaking midfielder thrill with his pace and nose for goal before suffering a hot spot in his navicular bone."

Withering?

Jacob Withering. These communications specialists just have to get his name in there don’t they!

Gerard Healy wrote the article.

I know it’s not a done deal but any +ve sign from Trav is great news. For some reason I had him marked as one of the less likely to re-sign, along with Hookesy obviously. And while I would really LOVE to see big Cale back next year, if we can develop Hartley, Francis and Brown, free up $700K in the salary cap and pick up a solid first rounder from the compo pick it wouldn’t be the end of the world.

In the words of The Great Man, we could be in a “very good place” once this is all done and dusted, although I’m not sure Hirdy envisioned it quite like this.

He's making a sandwich, just wait for the next comment

This sort of thing will happen during the season, you will find Managers and Lawyers having great influence. Until you hear it from the club it’s all one big game being played.

Why do we believe this but not the Hooker to Freo/Hawthorn stories?

Exactly right. Grain of salt.
There are no quotes from anyone whatsoever regarding Colyer. Ralphy was closing in on deadline and went for the trusty ‘banned don contract status’ article.

Yep every article should be taken with some form of skepticism, when they are both good and bad articles.

however this article does go against the grain, would have been much easier to say coyler is out the door, if all you were worried about was click bait etc.

it is what it is, we are gonna cop ahell of alot more articles claiming player x is leaving, might as well enjoy the ones that say player x isn’t leaving as well.

MAYBE if we click more on all the positive articles more positive articles will come!

Colyer’s manager says he is likely to stay so opposition clubs push harder?

Probably just to up his price. Not necessarily to do with staying or going

I can see Trav as being one of the ones more likely to leave. I’m worried. Still ages to go IMO for all (most) 11 unfortunately
