Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

As if Blitz would do that.

He’s got a bit of work to do IMO but it’s great that he finds it easy to get involved.

I haven’t watched the VFL, today.

He must have played pretty well to kick 3 goals.

He seems to be improving every week.

Yep. He was very good today. If he can just avoid getting suspended, he could end up playing a senior game or two.

Any strong, contested marks??

There was at least one good contested mark. One of those 1-on-1 strength contests. Worked his opponent under the ball nicely to take the mark and kick a goal.

There might have been another one that I missed.

Would you describe him as big bodied, and if so can he play midfield?

Definitely big-bodied. Not sure about him as a mid yet. Played there a little bit today and won a clearance, had some good tackles. Small sample size, though.

Seems to have a decent tank, so it’ll be interesting to see if we give him more midfield time going forward.

Hopefully can emerge as a Leigh Brown- type enforcer and support act for Wright/Jones up forward.

Naturally less filthy of course- perhaps Roger Merrett is wishful thinking.

How far off a debut is this kid?

He has zoomed past Josh Eyre as a prospect. He will be a real asset to the side with his toughness.

There is something about this kid.

Kicks goals. Takes strong contested marks. Wins centre clearances.

Want him in.

Hope he runs through some ■■■■ in his debut,

Pommy voice… Leave a little bit in the tackle lad let them know you’re here… Pommy voice

A bit of toughness in this side wouldn’t go astray.

Is more like Paul Barnard or Dean Wallis?

I hope Barnard. He was a ruthless, tough and versatile player but nowhere near as dirty as Wallis.
