Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

Okay, stupid question.

Is he related to Michael at all? Or just coincidence that they have the same surname?

Coincidence

Pity. I’m pretty convinced Michael will be just as bad a coach the second time around as he was the first, but as a player and a captain he was sensational.

I’m not particularly enthused by this pick.

Felt a bit let down watching his highlights.

Mainly because I didn’t have my glasses and the sound was down.

I am, clearly tougher than the majority of Blitz posters.

He’s clearly taller and faster and a better kick than almost all of us as well. Now the 18th draft in a row that I’ve missed out on, and I’m beginning to wonder if my AFL career will even get off the ground at all.

Where do you see him fitting in? What is he?

Townsend vibes.

Such negativity. He could be anything.

Get around him!

I liked what I saw there. Some nice marks for a tall. Some run and carry, prepared to chase and tackle. Nice long kick. Speculative pick but there’s a bit to work with for sure.

This is exactly what the rookie list should be used for. High upside talent that needs development.

We’ve complained about dropping guys to the rookie list. This is a pure raw rookie selection that fits our needs.

I like.

Townsend comparison isn’t necessarily a bad thing - if he can play 50 games including a flag, that would be huge.

I’d love to know more about his running ability, and whether he is a genuine kpp or more in that zurhaar/Waterman strong medium category

Its definitely the one that has me scratching my head. Doesn’t seem to fit needs at all. I’m not really sure what he is either, beyond ā€œutilityā€.

But any rookie is a long shot so not too fussed. Its definitely the space to take long shot options.

I think he is a genuine 3rd tall but can be a factor at ground level which we often lack up forward. We don’t want Jones to constantly have to be the pressure forward as a tall.

It’s what I thought too.

Townsend, waterman and now this guy. Truck and Cara like physicallity and strength up forward.

It’s not a knock on him at all, there is a specific role in the team for it.

Can this guy by like a bayley fritsch?

Not sure where you’re coming from, Nino.
He’s more than two inches taller and agility is the knock on him.
Closer to Liam Jones?

Edit: Closer still to Logan McDonald.
