It’s not over yet.

You do know we got Perkins for him, right?

You recall correctly.

He got massive around ‘97, and had fined down a lot when he returned from those troubles and stayed like that until retirement.

Ok. My mistake. Father/sons has just worked all andy dandy for us.

I don’t reckon bulking up was part of the plan.

You don’t want to add bulk if you’re recovering from a foot stress injury. And you don’t want to add bulk when you’re already one of the weaker runners on the list.

He’ll see more of the ball at least.

It’s where he should have been playing the moment he got back from injury.

100% he is a backman.

The little I remember of his AFL games he was quite tenacious in his chasing and tackling while playing in the forward line. Good trait to have as a small defender. Hope he goes well.

In fairness, Shiel is named at CHF.

Just like the oldman

I desperately hope they do play Wanganeen in defence though. They really need to try something different with him. The talent is there, but if they keep doing the same thing they’ve always done, he’s a certainty to be off the list at the end of the year

At least he will be close to the ball playing in the backline. It’s always down there.

Our VFL forward line is a wasteland.
