Former #42 Massimo D'Ambrosio

And you couldnt do this when you were drafted? Lols

Maybe if you did you would still be at the club and in the team

Good ridance

joining a club in MSD is not the same as before a pre-season nins

I liked him.

Was overlooked so many times.

Our loss.

Liking Collingwood posts after an aNZAC day loss was probably never going to help his cause. I wish we’d kept him but he is replaceable.

Yeah I would have been fine keeping him but I am not that upset. In fact Roberts could be a replacement for him if he continues to track well.

This is myth though.
He played in roughly half the games he was available for last year.
(Yes, yes …a number as SUB)

And played mostly seniors in '22.

When you heard Mass himself talk in the lead up to playing us and moving to the hawks he went away and put on some kgs and worked on areas he was not good at. I think this was his turning point and that only came because a 1 year deal was kind of a wake up call and given something longer was probably something you don’t want to take lightly, plus you want to impress early in a new start. .

Basically with us he wasn’t as good as he is showing now , even if it’s too early to really tell, he worked on his flaws when given a reprieve.

Yea but if I was relegated to sub for many games… I would be wanting out for more minutes too.

Sure,
If you have an undertaking that you will play more games, in the 18, and for more money.
It’s an easy decision.

He did get to play that whole last qtr at Dreamtime as the SUB, and went okay.

He kicked the winner against North (pretty sure he was SUB).

The SUB role is valuable, though 4 out of 8 was perhaps too many for Mass.

At least he’s consistent with his social likes :joy:

James Kelly still looks in good enough shape to put on the boots and play next week.

I know it’s one of the most pedantic things ever… but I could never quite get over that either.

If I had the privilege/opportunity to play football at the highest level for any club and get paid handsomely for it, my loyalty would be total and every rival, including my old supported team (sorry Dons), would be irrelevant.

Sticking up for him though (with that 3AW interview today) … he really couldn’t answer that very pointed question any other way.

Liking a photo on socials means literally nothing. I couldn’t care less if any Essendon player liked content from another team.

Players don’t have to buy into club rivalries fans hold.

Yep. That’s your opinion.

There are many others who disagree.

Yeah not sure Mass liking a photo of Jamie Elliott kicking the sealer against us just hours after the game was a great look.

He was only a teenager though, they literally scroll instagram and like everything without thinking.

Fair enough.

You can have your hypothetical where you are playing AFL and ignoring all the content you like, and Massimo who is actually playing AFL can do as he likes.

Yeah it hurt. Which might say more about us than him, but people take footy seriously and think fans are entitled to get upset when a player likes the match winner of the opposition.

Wonder what your view would be if players on our list were liking/engaging positively with social media content on, for example, Tom Papley’s comments about the club postgame …

Or if Dan Houston kicks another winning goal against us after the siren this week.

Definitely thumbs up material. :+1:t4::+1:t4::+1:t4::heart::heart::heart:

I genuinely wouldn’t give a ■■■■.

Is this bad list management by us? How do we let a player go for no compensation and now he’s best-22 at a rival club?
