I understand from blitz that clubs canā€™t do medicals on potential mid season draftees and rely on ones done by the afl.

What kind of sh*thouse medical did the afl do on him that couldnā€™t pick up his back being cactus?

Not sure if athletes pay to register for the draft. Wouldnā€™t be surprised if there is some form of fee though.

I might be in the minority on this but I donā€™t see it with Voss. I think heā€™s probably competing for third tall with langers and I know who wins that battle.

If the AFL run the ā€˜medicalsā€™ and something is not detected, then there should be compensation. Fair enough if a club fails to detect injuries, but clubs are choosing these players in good faith based on medical reports undertaken by the governing body.

Heā€™s likeable because heā€™s aggressive and physical, he could add something this team doesnā€™t have. I donā€™t see a league footballer there yet, though.

Hunterā€™s problem is most likely the limited number of spots in the senior side. Wright takes one, a ruck takes the second, which leaves a single KPF slot up for grabs. Wiederman, Jones, Voss and Hunter are all vying for a single spot, which can also be covered by Langford or Stringer.

He might be afl quality, but that doesnā€™t mean we need him on the list.
