Full Club Review - Top to Bottom

Not their fault you spell your name incorrectly!

You’re right, I’m not sure how I misspell ā€œSexgod McHungdondaā€ as ā€œAlelxā€.

We don’t need an external review. We made the finals last year and have been decimated by injury and the leagues hardest draw.

We need a new communications strategy and fans to accept that we are moving forward. Otherwise, go the way of Saady with this delusional overreaction.

I agree, everything seems fine.

As will be evident when they flog our horse down Old Punt Road.

Agreed. Nothing to see here.

One of the drawbacks to having ā€˜Razor Sharp’ focus on football operations, is that it can diminish focus on other areas.

Agree.

The best thing to do in these situations is just let it play out.

I think the main thing the club should be very scared about at the moment is the hardcore passion of their members turning into utter indifference. I used to yell and carry on with the fury of 1000 Nonnas and be so passionate about the club, but now I feel nothing, numb. I simply don’t care that we’re getting belted, I don’t even care about the fact we’re going to get pantsed by Carlton on the night of our 150th celebration bullshit that we have planned. However, I do care that I’ve stumped up cash for a membership for the last 9 years and have not gotten any joy out of it. What kind of ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  lunatic spends $500-600 a year on something that gives them absolutely nothing in return, other than heartache? I’m most likely not renewing my membership, it’s the same ā– ā– ā– ā–  on a different day with this club.

I don’t even know where the club needs to start to fix things. How do you demand passion and fight from your players when they obviously don’t care? How do you come up with a new game plan when it took 2 pre-seasons to come up with the pile of complicated ā– ā– ā– ā–  we have now? Until the players and board start to give a ā– ā– ā– ā–  about this club and treat it more than an investment opportunity then nothing is going to change.

My dog usually disappears upstairs as soon as he recognises that the football is on the TV, even the pre-game. He’s not a huge fan of my vociferous watching habits.

Last few games he’s come back down at about quarter time, confused as to why it’s so quiet.

Lot of high school snark but not a single response to one of the points I made?

Didn’t say that everything was fine, just see the meltdown as wilful ignorance

Sure. From an incredibly engaged group of supporters who have watched the sad decline in to mediocrity of the club over a long period of time, who watched Parker demonstrate the absolute (literally absolute) lack of respect we now deserve among the league, who have watched players go backwards since arriving at or being drafted to the club, who put up with the annual ā€œwe’re going to take time to learn a new gameplanā€ festival, and who spend disproportionate amounts of our time thinking about, posting about, and dwelling on the club we love?

Must be ā€œignoranceā€, huh?

It’s willful annoyance based on hard evidence undiluted by marketing swill.

Bunch of ungrateful supporters. Everyone is trying their hardest. You just need to be more patient. The club needs your support.
