After a long hiatus from gaming (getting married and having kids) I got a switch about (3?) years ago. Mainly for Breath of the Wild (I am a huge Zelda fan). I do still love my switch but the first party releases have really dried up and playing games like Doom on the switch just really whet my appetite to get a more powerful console with more adult games.

I managed to score a PS5 in an Amazon drop last week and am loving it so far. I’ve never owned a Playstation before - I’ve always had Nintendo and also had a Xbox 360 which I absolutely loved. It’s really great being able to finally play games I’ve been hearing about for the last 10 years

Currently playing Rift Apart during daylight hours when the kids are around and God of War after dark when they are in bed. I made a start on The Last of Us (first one) - I think I will wait until I finish God of War before I go back to it.

God of War is absolutely amazing. Loving it. Rift Apart is really good too.

Playing through Mario Odyssey now with the young one. So many moons to collect.

Mario Odyssey is awesome. They managed to find a really great balance so that a casual player can complete the game and for completionists some of the end-game moons are really challenging.

I too was Xbox and Nintendo but decided to switch to PlayStation love the PS5

I’m thinking of selling my 1tb Xbox One X don’t need it I’m happy with a Switch and PS5

My issue with odysesey is that its too open ended. In previous mario games the maps had been smaller and the pathway/ objective of each star has been more clearly defined, but with more challenging obstacles in your way. Odyssey just puts a star in every corner, puts a little gimmick in the way of it that you need to traverse around and boom thats it.

I reckon younger audience would absolutely love it as there is always something there for them to find or hunt for, but from my view, the platforming isnt gripping enough to really keep me entertained for too long. Got a quarter of the way through and gave up.

Yeah odyssey my least favourite Mario game

I completed the game once and that was it couldn’t be fcked looking for all 999 Moon pieces

Odyssey is fun but i have preferred a lot of other Mario games. Galaxy 1 is my fav.

Thinking of getting the new Guardians of the Galaxy game for ps5 for the long weekend

Anyone heard anything about it?

Completed Far Cry 6

Enjoyed it a lot but the ending left me disappointed

Far Cry endings to me have always been odd / abysmal.

I will wait for sale though. Bought last few full price. I can wait.
