Craig Drummond was Geelong president for three years and is now chair of the AFL commission.
Patrick Dangerfield was head of the AFL players association.
Absolutely no one is conflicted in this.

Just to put this into context -
The AFL has clear and documented procedures around concussion, the treatment of and actions taken under its health and safety protocols.
Geelong just “negotiated” an arrangement outside those protocols. They’re trying to spin it like they did the player a favour. The only way this makes any sense is if the advice to the player was that he should retire, and he’s then said " what if I absolve you of responsibility" , and Geelong then play a guy that they think should probably retire. Which is straight up a failure of the Oh&s protocols. To the point that this letter probably shouldn’t get posted to the AFL or Aflpa.
No problem at all. Just tuck it away with the insignificant salary cap error paperwork.
