Having a look at the draft profiles there look to be plenty of players that’d fill needs for us around our first pick (I’m assuming it’s in the 10-15 range right?) and I’m kinda hoping we’re not planning to trade that pick away, I wouldn’t have thought the team is at that stage of development yet

Also that Maddi G’s grandad was a close friend of my uncle (1909-199) and a friend of my dad.

We started with 30, have added Gaylor, might re-add Phillips, and have sacked/retired 3. So at least two on the chop (assuming we don’t net bring in more players before the draft) .

That’s pretty impressive considering there have only been eight seasons.
Maddy is 4/6. Needs to win one of the next two seasons to equal her.
Pick 41, if she is ready to play again, is a bargain.
The commentary at the start of this past season was:
“The Club and Zimmorlei have come to the mutual decision for her to step away from the Club citing the demands of AFLW and elite level training,” she said.
“Zimmorlei is beginning an apprenticeship this year but will continue to stay in touch with the game by returning to support her local club Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club and the Queensland State League.
“Zimmorlei remains contracted to the Lions, and the Club and Zimmorlei will reassess at the completion of the 2023 AFLW season.”
