My reading of this approach is that Norf would not be allowed to protect anyone.
Of course, the article completely fails to put any numbers to the idea – can you protect 2 players, or 15?

A. Gaylor
S. Wales
G. Belloni
The rest can prove themselves worthy given how this season has gone.
I’m also assuming that Prespakis and Toogood will just go “nah” given (a) they are on record as wanting to become bombers as soon as the opportunity arose, and (b) one of them is a co-captain.
I’d add Ridewood to that list and Toogood to that list.
I don’t think Toogood is a flight risk at all. So no need.
Ridewood is a fair shout.
Of course, the other minor detail is how much extra salary cap Tassie are granted (on top of a potentially larger list size).
