It’s when the public find out what really goes on, that the executives at the trough get twitchy and scurry away.

Let’s not forget Josh Frydenberg and his mates at guide dogs Victoria. ■■■■ blew up, the CEO on $500K+ gets sacked, donations dropped by about $2M and Josh didn’t win his seat.

So many of these people and organisations thrive on a perfect image. But deep down they’re just a front for lining theirs and their mates pockets.

Yeah but Josh was strong in Bondi, he’s the real deal when it’s life and death and future tilts.

Josh’s $500K to cover up some naughtiness as well.

Sorry, before I start, clearly the kids unfortunately had no say in what their parents did. However, the mothers should’ve been sent straight back to Syria or whatever shithole ISIS operates out of nowadays

I’d hope ASIO are keeping a very very close eye on any of those trippers who welcomed them back at the airport

Lovely people - telling the female journalist to “shut up you ■■■■”.

They are Australian citizens and have a right to be here.

Aren’t they Australian citizens?

Fark I have said that to Journalists many times, and they always deserved it.

Yep, they are Australian citizens.
If guilty they can spend the remainder of their life in an Australian prison

That’s the start and the end of it.
They’re ours and therefore our responsibility.

Exactly. They’re Australian citizens and have the right to be here. What’s more, when an Australian gets into bother overseas, the Australian Government has a duty to assist their return home - even to provide them with a ticket (which they may or may not be required to reimburse at a later date).

In this particular case of the so-called “ISIS brides”, the Government should have organised the return of all the women and children who asked to come home in the first instance. They should have been brought back and put up in one of the disused army camps until they got back on their feet, or until they had been processed with a view to prosecuting some of them, if any, for criminal offences.

This Labor Government is gutless - frightened of upsetting the moneyed classes, the Murdoch media or the CIA - and utterly terrified of losing their cushy jobs in the next general election. Albo and his pals are just Lieberal Lite - in their terror of doing anything that might be viewed as controversial by respectable middle-class Ockers they take their main policies from Sky News and the Hairoiled Hun.

I had a similar experience renting under the counter bootlegged VHS tapes of Star Trek: The Next Generation in the 90s. The local distributor just wasn’t getting it done.

Just on the grammar, they have been, or will be, charged with crimes. By charging someone, you allege that crimes have been committed. If you say that someone has been charged with alleged crimes, the “alleged” is redundant and wrong. The doubt conveyed by the word “alleged” has already been conveyed by the word “charged”.

Actually, it’s not so “deep down”.
