That’s what happens this day and age in an information vacuum. The government and / or police could have given some details about the suspect but they didn’t. It didn’t fit their narrative to do so. They withheld information for months.
You can’t call terrorists far left or far right. Those labels imply economic theories. These are totalitarian or religious terrorists.
And it’s not just Muslims who go around murdering doctors, teachers and journalists either. But we can’t mention them.

The real problem was the guy who tweeted the lies did it instantly, lies which were retweeted, and in a flash 1000s had read the lies… this happened waaaay waaaay waaaaay more quickly than authorities had time to react, and by the time they did, it was too late.

In the days after the police and government could have cleared up the facts. They didn’t.
Starmer doubled down. Calling anyone that opposed the narrative far right instead of acknowledging concerns about illegal immigration and public safety.
He lengthened the riots because he wasn’t open and informing people honestly.
Seriously anyone with a brain could have guessed that the suspect was an Islamist.
Utter garbage.
You know it was Tommy Robinson who fuelled the lies which caused and prolonged the riots.
No politician “lengthened the riots” when they actually called for them to stop. Same goes for the police and other authorities.

Within hours of the Sydney shopping centre stabbings and the priest stabbing we knew all about the suspects and motives. There was misinformation but police and politicians transparency squashed it pretty quickly.
That’s what should have happened with the murder of the 3 kids.
Don’t let misinformation spread and those that want to divide. Lead through transparency and integrity to counter that and tell the truth.
Starmer did not do that in any way.
