HTS leader claims that it would disband its army in Syria.
It’s one of several armies.
The Syrian rebel army is incapable of fielding a national military.
The National Army under Assad has been virtually eliminated, much of its weaponry and aircraft destroyed, including by Israel.
The strongest foreign armies currently are Israel and Turkey. The Kurds rely on the US for weaponry.
Trump has expressed his admiration for Erdogan, he considers the fall of the Assad regime was down to Erdogan.

Probably his wet dream to become one.

You can get more info in EL versions of France 24 and Le Monde.
Le Monde also has an article on the sentence for former President Sarkozy. Carla Bruni is going to have to get used to his ankle bracelet tracker .

Israel continues to be active in Palestine and Syria.
Yemen once again is getting its share of Israel bombs, hitting a port ( where food is delivered) , two power stations and an oil facility.
US military has also carried out strikes on a former Defence Ministry site in Yemen.

Horrific. Jail is too good for him and the other men.

The full story is that Houthi rebels first fired missiles into Israel indiscriminately again and then Israel and the US retaliated. Port is also used for weapons storage and transfers.

It’s really not that hard to give the full story, unless you are only interested in giving one side of it.

I’m happy that they are active in Syria. Israel is eliminating Asad’s remaining weapons instead of risking them falling into ex-ISIS members and others control. Maintaining a buffer for now is also probably a good thing.

Of course Israel could of not done anything and left those weapons fall into enemy control like Biden did when exiting Afghanistan.

It’s also still carrying out military strikes in Lebanon

Yes Israel are. Against another Iranian proxy that wants them all dead.

I trust you are concerned about the innocent civilians who continue to be killed and injured, children starving.

Absolutely I am.

There is a way for all the killing to stop permanently.

Iran regime topples and their people are freed. Hezbolah is defeated and the Lebanese people are freed. Hamas surrenders and returns the hostages. Gaza is rebuilt with billions of international dollars.

Without Israel being safe, there will never be an end to the violence.

There is an ever growing list of middle eastern countries that have cordial relationships with Israel now. Saudi Arabia is making progress to normalize relations.

If the ones currently fighting against them stop and choose peace and prosperity instead of war and death.

I have a few Christian Lebanese friends who’s families fled for their lives in the mid 70’s. They have the same view as me. They actually have helped form my view.

To be fair, Sugar Daddy USA rarely declares war on other countries either.

I’m guessing that was written in sarcastica font? The US has waged war too many times that it wasn’t warranted IMO.

Declaring war and doing war are very different things (e.g. hi Laos).
