Assumed to be an ‘attack’ however too early for any details or motives.

It’s a deliberate action

The video of it seems pretty obvious.

Europe has laid the seeds for this to keep on occuring.

These people have no interest in integration .

I’ve unfortunately stumbled across the video.

Who are ‘these people’?
A Saudi born doctor who had been living and working in Germany for close to 20 years .
Germany has a program of securing foreign health workers to maintain its health system.

The suspect in the German Christmas market attack is a 50-year-old man with a permanent residency permit, the Saxony-Anhalt region’s Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang said Friday.

Authorities previously said that the man is a doctor from Saudi Arabia who had lived in Germany since 2006.

Sounds like he is a poster boy for assimilated Saudi refugees.

And he’s decided to mow down 5 innocents, including a 9yo girl and injured many, many others.

I know Gaza, Beirut and now Syria and their people are broken. Many dead. Devastated doesn’t get near.
But sometimes words just fail.

ABC News here reported that Germany had refused a Saudi extradition request.

Looking at the footage of the attack, it’s a minor miracle more weren’t killed. Brutal.

I don’t get how something like this happens.

It’s a mass gathering which is going to always be high risk of terror related incidents. Particularly since this exact thing has happened before. Surely a couple of concrete bollards or obstacles at the entry point of the market would have largely prevented this.

You’d hope adequate, obvious security measures were taken.

Apparently they had all those measures in place, except for the single emergency vehicle entrance. He used that one.

Ah yep, that sucks

Who is the suspect?

The suspect has been identified in local media reports as Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, the BBC understands.

He is a 50-year-old psychiatrist who lives in Bernburg, around 40km (25 miles) south of Magdeburg.

The suspect is currently being questioned and prosecutors expect to charge him with murder and attempted murder in due course, the head of the local prosecutor’s office said on Saturday.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear but authorities have reported that they believe he carried out the attack alone.

Originally from Saudi Arabia, he arrived in Germany in 2006 and in 2016 was recognised as a refugee.

Germany’s Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told reporters that it was “clear to see” that the suspect holds “Islamophobic” views.

The suspect is an outspoken critic of Islam on social media, and has promoted conspiracy theories regarding an alleged plot by German authorities to islamicise Europe.

A report from Der Spiegel said a complaint was filed against Taleb A with the authorities a year ago over statements which officials concluded did not constitute a concrete threat.

This could be misinformation.

An “ex Muslim” drives his car into a Christmas market (Copying the exact Islamist terrorist attack from 2016, also in Germany) and kills innocent people (Some Christians and the others celebrating a Christian holiday)

And people will use this as an example of Islamaphobia.

An article I read seemed to say he had left Islam and was trying to get others to leave it too. So if that is correct then that minister might want to retract the statement.

There is likely to be loads of misinformation. So let’s wait for more info before we start attributing this.
