CENTCOM is a U.S. military command, not a multinational collaboration. Including it alongside the Red Sea Task Force as a “collaboration arrangement” implies it’s an international or joint structure, which is inaccurate and potentially misleading.
I could list multiple more.
Instead of dragging the conversation down by dissing bigallan, why not add whatever knowledge you have to improve the dialogue.

The UK has justified its actions as the need to protect shipping, whereas Rubio has referred to the need to eliminate Houthi military capacity as a proxy for Iran
I haven’t worked out the UK base for launching its air attacks.

I just know that RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus is their main base in the region and houses the Typhoons which have also previously attacked the Houthi’s. Has been plenty of activity around the base recently which suggests this has been building

Yup. It’s why the UK has awkwardly kept a few pockets of the island as it gives them military reach into that region.
If you mess with the shipping lanes of powerful countries you have to expect the boot to come down, collateral damage and all.

The UK has imposed sanctions on individuals supplying the Houthis with goods related to arms, consistent with the UNSC decision on arms embargoes.
However, unlike the US, the UK has not proscribed the Houthis as a terrorist organisation.
Under Sunak and Starmer, UK attacks were deemed self defence , to protect British shipping in the Red Sea, from the Gulf of Aden through to Suez. The UK attacks haven’t been justified as linked to US anti Iran programs, or related to the Yemen Civil War and any proxies.
Lloyds List Intelligence is about the best source of intelligence on cargoes, destinations and ownership of merchant ships. It’s open source, so any media have access if they could be bothered reporting.
From this any British trade or other interests are easily identified.The Lloyds List info shows a surge in March of merchant shipping in the Red Sea, although it has not returned to the historical average. ATM, the most vulnerable ships are those delivering fuel from China and India to the Houthis. Their vulnerability stems from US attacks.
