Gaza now to be completely destroyed. According to a source Trump ‘just got bored’ with the subject. Iran now the game for the Peacelord. Asked about India he may have remarked ‘I thought we cleared all them out…’

The three basic obligations - Distinction, proportionality and precaution.
They cover infrastructure and supply necessary for civilians to live, but are ignored by Russia and Israel, they were given no observance by non State actors in the deaths of Israelis and others, including poor foreign workers from as far away as Nepal and Thailand
The main port of Yemen has now been all but destroyed, in reprisal for a Houthi missile that landed near Ben Gurion airport.
And don’t overlook Lebanon, the West Bank of Palestine as well as Gaza, ongoing casualties in Syria ( Alawites and Druze).

US president Donald Trump was just asked about the Indian missile strikes into Pakistani-administered territory.

“It’s a shame,” Trump told reporters. “We just heard about it.”

He said “people knew something was going to happen based on the past” because both sides have been fighting “for many, many decades and centuries.”

“I just hope it ends very quickly,” Trump added.

All happening. Strikes both ways. Pakistan shoots down 2 us jets.

DOGE cuts deep

India/Pakistan is another great example of the problems caused by the British Empire (and it’s demise).

I was lucky enough to travel through Kashmir back in the late 80s and it was a beautiful place.

The people were super friendly and always up for a chat.

The main thing I learned was that at the time of partition in 1947, Kashmiri authorities put forward their preferences for the upcoming split.

First choice was a separate and independent Kashmir.

Second choice was to be part of Pakistan as something like 95% of the population was Muslim.

Third choice (and not one they wanted) was to be part of India.

And so the British chose the third option.

The Kashmiri people continue to be pawns in the ongoing “war” between India and Pakistan (which is largely fought in the high reaches of the Himalayas where there is nothing of value).

There was a shop in Delhi selling exquisite Kashmir embroidered textiles.
The shopkeeper explained that they were a source of income for Kashmiri women, staying indoors away from the bullets.
He added that when the Indians and Pakistani armies got tired of shooting at each other, they would turn on the. Kashmiris.

Following recent discussions and contacts conducted by the Sultanate of Oman with the United States and the relevant authorities in Sana’a, in the Republic of Yemen, with the aim of de-escalation, efforts have resulted in a ceasefire agreement between the two sides. In the future, neither side will target the other, including American vessels, in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, ensuring freedom of navigation and the smooth flow of international commercial shipping. The Sultanate of Oman expresses its gratitude to both parties for their constructive approach that led to this welcome outcome, and hopes that it will lead to further progress on many regional issues towards achieving justice, peace, and prosperity for all.

Rubio previously ran with the line of Houthi proxies for Iran, Iran was the issue.
Now he is saying it’s all about protecting American shipping in the Red Sea ( at a Trump/Carney presser, when Trump passed the parcel from a Q by a journalist).

Wrong. Completely wrong.

Wrong you say?

Do regale us then with your greater knowledge.

You could possibly start by detailing your personal experiences discussing the subject with the locals in Srinigar…or Pahalgam…or Gulmarg…as I did back when I was there.

There is a monument to Shastri in Tashkent. The Tashkent Declaration held off the clashes over Kashmir for a long period. It was muddied by Shastri’s death there, conspiracy theories galore.
Which countries are going to be the mediators this time?

Walked past the monument several times when we stayed there. It’s in a nice part of town
