Monty Python and the Holy Grail…I’m not dead yet! Klunk!

OMG.

The best bit of the news report was when they insisted on telling us this was happening in the North Atlantic.

At least I now know they haven’t moved the Titanic elsewhere.

and Titanic just finished on Foxtel. l kid you not.

Still never seen it.

I was reading about that this morning, absolutely the stuff of nightmares. Hope they are able to find them but not looking likely.

Jeez.

Did it manage not to sink this time?

Very high risk activity. Pay lots of money for what might be the best experience of your life, if you don’t die doing it. A bit like climbing Everest.

In the Pelepponnese, ships watched a ship full of desperate Syrians sink, at least 100 drowned, but they’ve caught the people smugglers.
Meanwhile a massive search is underway to rescue a billionaire and his mates on an adventure.

Hubris.

I hope for their sake that they somehow come out of this alive, but, the sheer arrogance involved in this entire debacle will be a case study in Darwinian theory going forward.

Deep sea exploration is not a DIY concept. You really have to know what you are doing. You cannot take a cavalier approach to safety and contingency.

I mean, the Titanic itself is the single most famous example of people with too much money believing that that alone makes them indestructable. It’s Jurassic Park - spare no expense!

The ideal outcome for me would be for all of them to come out alive but with a far different perspective on life, one of introspection. I’m not holding my breath though (excuse the metaphor).

Every doomsday movie begins with someone ignoring a scientist.

There is a chance something went catastrophically wrong and they would have died near instantly.

Otherwise, yeah, this would be torture. They’d be sitting inside counting the hours until oxygen runs out.

I’m hoping that they do get found and saved, but there is what, <24hrs in which it needs to be done.
