Get the hell out of Essendon - Patrick Ryder

id be surprised if we landed Impey or Neade. Neither wants to leave ive just been told, they love it there. Plus I dont think we are interested.

Ryder an Essendon contracted player with a watertight agreement for the next two year.

EFC will decide if it wants to release him from the contract

EFC will decide where he goes if we do release him

EFC will decide what's acceptable in terms of draft picks/players required if we do release him.

That is all.

Would we entertain something like 16 + impey + mitchell?
First round pick
Exciting but inconsistant player
Speedy mid who is 50/50 to make it

Kane MItchell makes that deal worse not better!

Terrible terrible footballer.

Replace Mitchell with Neade and then maybe then we are getting somewhere.

From The Age:
"The AFL Players Association has indicated it will push to accelerate the grievance process should Essendon refuse a reasonable trade for Ryder, who is leaving the club following his disappointment in the club's treatment of its players in the 2011-2012 drugs program."
Pfft who is Connors and the AFLPA to tell us what's a good deal? And where were they when GC played hardball with us??

H
I'd be happy with a reasonable trade, it's an unreasonable one that worries me.

Greg Swann on SEN this afternoon stated that even if Ryder had nominated the Brisbane Lion as his preferred club that they wouldn't have been able to achieve a trade as they planned to use pick 4 on Beams. I don't believe that C**T Greg Swann, would ever offer anything near to market value for an Essendon player. Yet even he in the current circumstances seems to think Ryder is at least worth a top 5 pick. Yet some people on here think we'll be lucky to get Pick 16, Cam Hitchcock and Campbell Heath.

Essendon gets what it sees as fair compensation or he stays!

Anybody who includes Kane Mitchell in potential trade negotiations involving Patrick Ryder, should seriously consider a self imposed BAN from Blitz till after the Trade period is concluded !

Thats what we'd like to think. We will get screwed for sure and certain

Agree. Mitchell is a downgrade on Lonergan.

what mitchell lacks in forehead he makes up in hair.
theyre even.

Interesting that Jack Rush is the Chairman of the Grievance Panel. I assume he would have to recuse himself.

Here's how it would work by the way.

AFL Grievance Tribunal first and then Supreme Court.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/saints-shun-grievance-process-20100304-plrc.html

ST KILDA has dramatically escalated the dispute with its exiled player Andrew Lovett by yesterday controversially refusing to attend the AFL's grievance tribunal, declaring the club did not believe it should be bound by the tribunal.

The Saints now potentially face fines of up to $50,000 a week for their decision to shun the grievance process and therefore opt out of one of the provisions of the collective-bargaining agreement. The agreement allows for a weekly fine with the amount to decided by the AFL and AFL Players Association - until such time as the collective bargaining agreement is abided by.

A week after the grievance tribunal rejected the Saints' argument that, as a sacked player, Lovett had no right to have the matter heard by the tribunal, St Kilda has seemingly rejected that finding on jurisdiction.

Lovett and his manager Alex McDonald were due to meet St Kilda football manager Greg Hutchison yesterday in the first stage of the new grievance process.

An email sent to McDonald advised that the club would not attend because it did not agree that it was bound by the grievance process.

The Saints had not previously indicated an intention to appeal against last week's tribunal decision to the Supreme Court but yesterday's action would appear to indicate that course of action is likely. The AFL was advised of St Kilda's position late yesterday but was yet to respond last night.

This will involve several clubs

So Damo thinks Ryder will be to Port what Ottens was to Geelong, ok port thats the value of 2 first rounders! Whats funny is media are worried due to how difficult we are to trade with, club better continue this tough stance, especially ad we are in drivers seat. I think this will have to include 3rd, 4th and 5th party. Good luck Paddy getting to Port. Remember Port is only his preference, this is not a case of going home like Beams he just wants a change of environment.

Strong club culture? please its not built in 2 years. 3 years ago tarp city.

Please, ours was ruined in 2
60,000 + memberships?
excuse me, what has membership got to do with club culture? Richmond has a lot of members and their culture is ratshit

I think a lot has to be said about our record 60,000 + memberships in perhaps the darkest time the club has had to endure. Our members / supporter base has sent a strong message to our players especially in the last couple of years, we've always responded when the club has called by 'Standing by Hurd' and 'Backing our boys' et cetera and I believe the players have stuck fat partly for us and partly because this saga has galvanized them as a group. That is culture.
And Fark Richmond

And Fark you too, I really wanted to only give a short post! 😉

Paddy said on 7 that the reason he’s nominated port is because there on brink of success and a premiership and that’s what you play footy for. ■■■■ me patty if that’s the case why did you go to Brisbane and gws for .paddy maybe we have been ■■■■ ,because we’ve recruited to many blokes who only think about themselves and are not team people.

Was used as an example only hence why i wrote the description part, i dont know ports list well enough to know who else is a mature age player with potential
My question was whether efc would entertain the pick + decent player + fringe player

kanech, looks like your answer is "NO".

I reckon the great increase in Membership shows a great deal about our supporters and culture.

According to Koch, Paddy Ryder (as well as being a quality player) is a “quality young bloke”.

I’d have thought his recent activities belied that description.

I named my second boy Ryder Jobe.
Freaks sake.

Name your third Chad Ollie. Believe.

Paddy actually said...? and where?
