Get the hell out of Essendon - Patrick Ryder

I just hope the truth about why Paddy is leaving comes out. Particularly why his fiancé is not welcome amongst the wives of other players.

Agreed Fog - I do know too and its frustrating

Did she eat somebody else's sandwiches at a function?

Did she meet up with the other WAGs for lunch and leave without chipping in for the bill?

Did she boo Stanton?

Maybe she just likes cuddles?

Is that why he left? :P

I just hope the truth about why Paddy is leaving comes out. Particularly why his fiancé is not welcome amongst the wives of other players.

Agreed Fog - I do know too and its frustrating

Tell us then. Get it out there.....

Damn it. Now I am I going to have to keep refreshing this thread all day until I know the answer.

This SEN "doctor" sounds more like a witch doctor to me.

Apologies for posting somthing from fairfax but:

Essendon pushes ahead with Paddy Ryder free agent scheme

Essendon has not closed the door on a plan to boost its compensation for ruckman Paddy Ryder by releasing him from his contract and allowing him to join Port Adelaide as a free agent.

Discussions between all key parties continued on Thursday, despite the AFL reminding both clubs it could only tick off on trades involving draft picks or players, not free-agency compensation.

The clubs would instead have to separate the two elements of the proposed deal, and put them to the AFL as independent scenarios.

First, the league would have to allow Essendon to release Ryder from the final two years of his contract, then assign the club a compensation pick (likely pick 21) for him.

Other clubs have objected to the potential for this to happen, believing it amounts to an exploitation of the free agency rules.

In an entirely separate deal, Essendon would then have to negotiate a "commercial" trade for the Power's pick 17, one that satisfies the AFL's Ken Wood, who must approve each trade.

That would leave Essendon with picks 17 and 21 for Ryder, as well as whichever other player, players or draft picks were sent to Port as part of the second deal.

However the Bombers were continuing to ask for more from the Power, hoping to still end up with a player and another draft pick for the loss of Ryder.

Should a deal not be reached, Ryder will push ahead with taking his breach-of-contract claim to the grievance tribunal.

In a statement, the AFL said: "The AFL has advised the two clubs that the AFL rules do not allow any 'consideration' other than players or draft picks to be part of a trade.

"Therefore a trade agreement in relation to players or draft picks cannot also include a promise or undertaking by a club to take a particular action with respect to another player's free agency rights."

Essendon remained hopeful on Thursday of convincing Jason Winderlich to stay, and is among a small handful of clubs to have some interest in Adam Cooney, who looks set to join Ryan Griffen and Liam Jones in leaving the Western Bulldogs.

ROFL..... AFL says NO, EFC pushes ahead with it anyway!

If it eventuates hopefully we end up with 2 picks (inclusive of compo) and Shaw.

And they can have Ryder & Jetta

If not, your staying Paddy. Bad luck.

Will have a similar impact as the Sarah call and has put us in a position where it's hopeless to respond.
The timing says it all.

Well this is where our "fearless"* Board & Chairman need to come out today and say what a load of bollocks Paddy's claims are

If ASADA had player health concerns they should have: 1: Notified ASDMAC to manage as a medical issue,

and 2. Not waited 12+ months

Interesting that the Herald Sun is putting ‘ASADA using coercion & fear’ in the headlines, just in time for the Hird vs ASADA case.

Given the massive health concerns raised by Ryder, NO DOUBT the AFL and AFLPA will demand ALL clubs reveal ALL the supplements they used.

Surely their commitment to a true and proper duty of care would demand this occurs.

Surely the media with their commitment and concern for a true and proper duty of care and their massive concerns for the children and the health of these young men would demand this occurs.

Essendon should do everything in its powers to facilitate a trade for Paddy to any Club BUT Port Adelaide.

I think we should start negotiations with the dogs. They're looking for a few players to fill the void. And they have doctors in Footscray. Hell, they've even got a hospital.

And all the *ahem, substances a bloke could want.

What a crock of ****.
Paddy's role in making a baby is finished the second that he is. There is literally no way that injecting Paddy with anything can affect his unborn baby. Unless they're suggesting that something he was given has altered his sperm, which would pretty much require it to be radioactive.

What? He was on the program when he created the little miracle wasn't he?
I would assume so. My point is that it could only be a problem if they were injecting his missus.

How much do you know about the medical impact of AOD?
Personally I know not much except that it's not approved for human use.
More than likely there's a side effect of similar drugs that was read to Ryder and this was fairly alarming.

How can you "KNOW" that when its not true? Its been debunked enough times so are you simple or simply trolling?

Your either willfully ignorant or a troll. Calzada conducted trials on 900 people over 6 years. Zero side effects. The reason why it wasn't 'fit for human use' is they didn't fill out the paperwork as they didn't think the drug worked. They have now filled out the paperwork and it is approved for human use

.@3AWNeilMitchell: Is there any chance Paddy could stay at Essendon? Connors: No.

Also said if it doesn;t work out well he could be lost to footy.

How orchestrated is this. Unbelievable.

I have also noticed that every now and then they refer to another club is interested in "X' player (i.e. Cooney today) and its Essendon they are referring too but deliberately leave that out. The narrative is deliberate to paint a specific picture and i have almost had enough.

Ryder will be the bigger loser in that case, not football.

What are the chances the pics of Ryder's boy Harlan were chosen (out of the hundreds they would have taken at the shoot) to make him look a bit NQR.

He's a cute kid but those pics are terrible.

It's so hard trying to read an article and pick out what is actually true and try and ignore the agenda from the opinion writer.

Isn't it disgusting that ASADA interviewers would try and scare a simple minded aboriginal player that there were health concerns for his unborn son, just to get him to roll on his club? Isn't that a story in itself??

And Fogdog, I don't know what happened, but from your comment my mind just automatically guesses there's a possibility that his wife might not have been completely loyal to him and that's why all the others hate her.

Would explain why getting out of Melbourne and a fresh start are important. Especially combined with the saga etc...

Exactly. But dont anyone put your house on it happening.

- Infidelity (or inappropriate advances)

- Thieving from handbags etc

- **** talking/■■■■■■■■

If a female was to be isolated from another group of females those would be the key reasons I'd see as possibilities

I’ll be ■■■■■■ if, in 17 years time, ASADA are able to claim Harlan under the father-son rule.
