Eddie's a perfect example of what Steven Amendola described the AFL were behaving like during
the negotiations in August 2013...just a Cashed Up Bogan doing whatever he likes.
He does talk tough but when it all comes down to it he just laps up what his business partners
tell him to do. If he were so concerned about Sydney's COLA being introduced when it was, he
would've raised his concerns back then and not just fallen into line like all the other clubs did
because the AFL bullied them into accepting their proposal. The same as when he piped up and
got Brisbane's allowances taken away from them. Why didn't he question that proposal too when
it was first mooted way back when? He waits until other clubs start making rumblings, is confident
that he has their backing and then throws himself front and centre on the issue as if he's the
saviour of all that is fair and decent for the rest of the competition, in particular the Vic clubs.
