Bad Calls (or more accurately, players I got way too excited about): Brent Prismall, Ricky Dyson, Mark Alvey, Courtney Johns, Scott Gumbleton (admittedly not his fault)
The "Watson wouldn't make it" one is funny, but there is a grain of truth to it. I have to admit.... I wasn't convinced. I went to his first game, which was pretty much a disaster. There were a lot of people in the crowd who weren't impressed either. Obviously, first impressions don't always mean much.
Oh yeah - good call was laycock being a utter dud. I never bought into the whole “he would be anything if he wasnt injured all the time” - he was just sh*t 90% of the time

Told James Hird's uncle I like very much the way this guy goes about it when watching him play VFL at South Melbourne oval. Uncle Hird was chuffed that someone gave his nobody nephew a compliment.

Always a suppoter of Myers, Stanton, Winderlich, Melksham (in current generation), Scotty Lucas (although I preferred him at CHB)
Backed Watson (although as a half-forward flank - just edging out Bolton - it was before he became good).
Bad calls:
Loved Judd Lalich (thought he showed great courage to try and push off the trainers when he got concussed that one time). Was a great ruckman in EA AFL '99.
Liked Slattery for his attack on the ball and courage (i.e. running in front of Fevola and getting cleaned up). Pity he didn't have the necessary quality.
Was hugely excited when we got Campo.
Was hugely excited when we got Cupido.
Thought Reimers would be our Akermanis, once everything clicked.
Thought our fat father-son (Neagle) was better than Geelong's fat father-son (Hawkins)
