So port are after him? Why not us?

One of Bass' favourites, straigh swap for Dempsey perhaps.
I thinkhe will end up at the Crows
Gorringe is the new Black.
Maybe Hardy for Gorringe, think Dempsey for Gorringe would need some swap of draft picks or something. However Ryder for pick 16 + Gorringe + swap of late picks might get the Ryder deal done providing that Port have something Brisbane want.
Are people joking when they talk about trading Hardy with the assumption he has any currency?
I might have missed the start of that joke but I see his name pop up in the odd suggested trade.
Rather go after Lowden
Bad name for the club, too closely aligned with syringe.

If he was involved in a Dempsey Trade Gold Coast would need to add a whole lot more.
Maybe worth an enquiry then, im sure they other players or picks that can be packaged up.If he was involved in a Dempsey Trade Gold Coast would need to add a whole lot more.Another Norwood boy lolSo port are after him? Why not us?

Big call I know but Bass still reckons Gorringe has as much skill and talent as Paddy but needs to become more competetive at the top level if he wants to make it
So port are after him? Why not us?
Well he said he wanted to be traded back to South Australia and Port Adelaide is within South Australia whilst Essendon is not.
But seriously, if you want somebody like Gorringe you really have to be in their player manager's ear during the season, as once a player/manager comes out and announces something specific "North Melbourne is my preferred destination, or "I want to be traded back home", the race has been won already unless you come along at the last minute and offer the player substantially more $$$ than what the other club has offered. That and only that at this stage is how you would change Gorringe's mind from "I want to go home" to "Essendon is closer to home than Gold Coast, now where is my money so I can do a Scrooge McDuck-esque dive into that ****"
Suggestion:
Essendon: Gorringe + Port Pick 17
Geelong: GC Pick 15
GC: Christensen
Port: Ryder
GC might be the looser in that but they might value Christensen

Don't mind that hypothetical.
However, I'm not sure if this has been covered, but it appears no one wants to be playing for Essendon (EVER!).

not bad. Port would have to give up a bit more. Their second round pick (34ish) as well to GC. Gorringe and pick 15 way too much for just Christensen

How do cats or Gold coast gain from giving up gorringe.
Cats recieve GC Pick 15
GC get christensen
then gives gorring to essendon as an apology from afl for farking club over, doesnt make sense? unless they receive ports second round pick.
and if thats up for grabs Port 1st & Second round pick to EFC for Ryder.

Looking at my suggestion I think we will have to give up something more.

Not true.
I may be suspect over head, struggle to hit the side of a barn and drop off under real pressure, but I'd give it a crack!
I agree with previous posters. Revised suggestion

agreed. We might have to throw up our pick 53 as well although it has little value.

Why would we? We've given the best player in trade for a much lesser player and a pick.
I think throw in Port's 2nd rounder to GC and it'd be close.

That could work as long as port aren't being tight arses.

Good point, and probably why this is all hypothetical stuff.
