Personally I’d pick the biggest band in Australia, Violent Soho.
I’d say they’re more chance at playing the NRL Grand Final tho.
There’s plenty of Australian bands tbh.
It’s naive to think the entertainment must be an international act.
Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Hill Top hoods
A big, past their peak International act is the perfect choice for a match that’s broadcast across the world. Doesn’t cost too much, has familiarity world wide, and a string of classic hits that a broad age demographic can sing along too.
It’s been De rigueur for the AFL for years now, and won’t change. It’s normally … (sans Meathead) a winning strategy.

The SANFL had Dragon last week before the game and they were great I thought. Belted out 6 or 7 favourites and had the whole crowd rocking and singing along by the end

The entertainment needs to not happen anymore. Under 18’s game at Nth Hobart ground was some of the best footy I’ve seen for ages.
